Description

Centered around BJJ-based exercises and games to introduce your child to the basic movements and core values of Brazilian Jiujitsu while promoting physical fitness, discipline, and confidence. For children aged between 7-12 years old.

CLASS STRUCTURE (7-12 YEAR OLDS)
Each 45-minute class will begin with a warm-up followed with technique training, where they learn the fundamentals of BJJ such as escapes, takedowns, sweeps and mounts.
The kids can then practice what they have learned through specific positional training, which will help them understand how to apply techniques in real-life scenarios.
To keep the kids motivated, the class will end with a game to encourage communication, teamwork and agility while still having fun.

ABOUT COACH FAZI
Coach Fazi is one of the pioneers of Brazilian Jiujitsu in Brunei, who trained in Singapore in 2010 under the tutelage of one of the most revered coaches in the region, Professor Alexsandro Leke Machado, 3rd degree black belt from Checkmat, one of the strongest BJJ teams in the world. Under his guidance, Coach Fazi is currently the most decorated female BJJ athlete in Brunei, winning multiple golds in various competitions. She made history as the first Bruneian woman to compete in the IBJJF Worlds Masters as well as winning the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship trials.

Coach Fazi has trained extensively around the world alongside world champions in Brazil, USA and Australia. Coach Fazi is also trained in various martial arts, unarmed combat and police defense tactics, and received her training in Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling from Phuket, Thailand.

As BJJ is widely deemed as the most effective self-defense for women and children, Coach Fazi is deeply passionate about growing the sport to be more inclusive in Brunei. From her years of experiences, she has applied her knowledge and passion into designing a unique and practical approach to learning BJJ from a self-defense aspect, spearheading the first Women’s Only BJJ program in Brunei.
